Turf Care Specialist

The role of a Turf Care Specialist is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing turf areas to ensure they remain lush, healthy, and resilient.

This hands-on position involves performing regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating, and topdressing to uphold the quality and playability of turf surfaces.

  • Regularly inspect and monitor turf health to proactively address issues such as pests, diseases, and compaction through appropriate cultural and chemical practices.
  • Implement sustainable turf management practices, including water conservation strategies, and pest management techniques.
  • Operate and maintain specialized turf equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with the landscaping team to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and deliver exceptional results.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their expectations, address concerns, and provide turf care recommendations.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management and previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or a related field. Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements is also essential.
