Turf Care Professional

We are seeking a skilled Turf Care Professional to join our team at Hamilton Island Golf Club. Located on the stunning Dent Island, nestled in the middle of a National Park, you will experience a unique and exquisite working environment.

The 360-degree views of the out-laying islands and the sparkling blue water of the Whitsunday passage make this truly one of the most beautiful offices in the world. The Hamilton Island Golf Course is ranked in the top 20 public access courses in Australia, designed by Peter Thomson and Ross Perrett.

  • Assist the Golf Course Superintendent with preparing and maintaining the golf course greens and garden areas.
  • Undertake turf and garden maintenance and landscape construction duties.
Your Key Responsibilities

Maintain all course fairways, tees, greens and rough areas. Apply fertilizers as directed by the supervisor, including maintaining a log of application. Assist with course irrigation and maintain oil, fuel and fluid levels for all types of grounds-keeping machinery.

What We Are Looking For

A highly skilled Turf Care Professional with excellent communication skills and the patience to work effectively with team members. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time efficiently are essential in this role.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Turf Management or Greenkeeping (essential)
  • Driver Licence (essential)
  • Chemical Handling certificate (highly regarded)
  • Sound knowledge of machinery and equipment related to this industry.
