Reliability Excellence Manager

We are seeking a Reliability Excellence Manager to lead the development and implementation of proactive maintenance strategies, resulting in improved equipment reliability and reduced downtime.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence by facilitating collaborative relationships between production, maintenance, and engineering teams. They will also oversee the planning, execution, and review of maintenance activities to ensure seamless plant operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in contractor management, project planning, and coordination. Additionally, they should possess excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and adaptability to changing priorities.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to optimize maintenance processes and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with production and planning teams to develop and implement proactive maintenance plans.
  • Manage on-site contractors and design/installation stages of projects to deliver plant reliability and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Assess and improve spare parts management to minimize costs and optimize inventory levels.
  • Work with production to analyze asset performance using metrics such as asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, and remaining useful life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive loss elimination and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Implement Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) principles to optimize asset performance.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Identify and address areas for improvement through continuous process evaluation and optimization.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Trades qualification or an Engineering degree with strong contractor management experience.
  • Familiarity with production and planning concepts (S&OP processes).
  • Project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
