We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Specialist to join our healthcare team.
About the Role:
A Nursing Care Specialist provides high-quality patient care, exercising judgment in delegating responsibilities to support staff members. This role requires collaboration with other team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care based on established plans, demonstrating empathy and compassion for patients' needs.
- Delegating tasks effectively to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring seamless delivery of care services.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance nursing practice, staying updated on industry best practices and guidelines.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments using relevant data collection techniques, analyzing findings to inform care decisions.
- Develop and implement care plans in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams, prioritizing patient-centered care and well-being.
- Engage in unit-based performance improvement initiatives, contributing to evidence-based practice and quality enhancement.
- Administer medications according to facility protocols, maintaining accurate records and adhering to HIPAA standards.
Certifications and Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Texas
- BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Certification within 90 days of hire (exceptions apply)
- ACLS certification biannually (Emergency Dept., Cardiac Cath Lab, PACU, ICU, and House Supervisors)
- NRP, STABLE certification biannually (Nursery)
