About the Role

As a key member of the Material Support and Logistics function within Civil Helicopters at Airbus, this position plays a pivotal role in coordinating and enhancing customer satisfaction for civil helicopter services. Reporting directly to the Team Lead MS&L Back Office, you will be responsible for streamlining the front office operations by actively supporting its core principles.

Your Daily Tasks:

  • Raise purchase orders for all necessary aeronautical materials, encompassing stock collection, MRO, new aircraft customization, spare parts sales, standard exchanges, and R&O.
  • Manage returns to core suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Provide regular feedback and follow-ups on issues or blockages, communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • E nsure that all material purchases are made on time, meet quality standards, and align with budget expectations.
  • Action and administer AOG/Warranties with vendors, guaranteeing seamless supply chain management.
  • Review open orders and expedite vendor deliveries according to quoted lead-times, maintaining a proactive approach to backorder follow-up.
  • Liaise with subcontractors/suppliers for materials, equipment, and sub-contract services per customization and delivery requirements.
  • Manage KANBAN item orders efficiently.
  • Manage non-conformities with suppliers and return processes, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.


Freight Management:

  • Coding freight invoices and purchase cost variations to inventory and jobs, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Review and allocate deferred customs payment statements and temporary imports, optimizing cash flow.
  • Provide freight quotes to the MRO and new aircraft sales teams, offering competitive solutions.
  • Liaise with Freight forwarders and update Aircraft Delivery Manager on new aircraft delivery from factory to desired location.

  • Detailed knowledge of Supply Chain principles, including inventory and materials management.
  • High-level purchasing expertise to support procurement activities in Australia and/or New Zealand.
  • Broad understanding of applicable legislation, regulations (e.g., CASA, EASA, NZCAA, FAA, ITAR, export and import controls), standards, and best practices.
  • Proven purchasing experience and knowledge of end-to-end supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (On Time Delivery, On Time Request).
  • Understanding of purchasing cost drivers and strategies, ensuring cost-effectiveness.


Estimated Annual Salary: $80,000 - $110,000.
