Stanwell is a leading energy solutions provider in Queensland, Australia. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Brisbane.

About the Role:

The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in supporting our Maintenance, Repairs and Operations portfolio within the Strategic Procurement Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing category plans and sourcing strategies, managing tenders, negotiating contracts, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category plans and sourcing strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Manage tender processes, including preparing and evaluating proposals from potential suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best value for money
  • Provide procurement services to internal stakeholders, including identifying and evaluating new suppliers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address business needs

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in procurement or a related field, preferably in the energy or construction industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations
