Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team in Melbourne as a Disability Support Worker. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with Autism.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Autism and high care support needs, a valid Victorian driver's license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle, mandatory qualifications including Cert III or IV in Disability or Aged Care Services or Certificate in Individual Support, National/International Police Check, Working With Children Check, NDIS Screening Check, Infection Control Training, Vaccination record against COVID-19, First Aid Certificate (including resuscitation).

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children with Autism and high care support needs
  • A valid Victorian driver's license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Mandatory qualifications including Cert III or IV in Disability or Aged Care Services or Certificate in Individual Support
  • National/International Police Check, Working With Children Check, NDIS Screening Check, Infection Control Training, Vaccination record against COVID-19, First Aid Certificate (including resuscitation)
Benefits:

This is a casual opportunity offering a competitive hourly rate of $38.00 - $75.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing community access, companionship, assistance with daily activities/personal care, and meal preparation
  • Working flexible shifts, including Monday to Friday 6:30am to 9am and 3pm to 7pm, and possible weekend shifts

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to providing person-centered care.
