We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech Therapist to join our team at Mediix. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in clients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Client Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals.
- Therapy Sessions: Provide therapy sessions to improve clients' communication and swallowing skills.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and effective treatment outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress.
- Education and Support: Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote understanding and empowerment.
- Qualifications: Relevant degree in Speech Pathology and registration with the Speech Pathology Association.
- Experience: Proven experience in assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong organizational and time management skills.
- Personal Qualities: Desire to make a positive impact on clients' lives and flexibility to work full time or as a contractor.
- Remuneration: Competitive salary range of $77,000- $125,000 per year + super (negotiable based upon experience and qualifications).
- Professional Development: Opportunities for continuing professional development and a $1000 professional development allowance per year.
