Job Title

The role of Policy Manager plays a vital part in driving systemic advocacy, law reform and community legal education initiatives.

As a key member of the Social Action and Public Interest Law team, you will work closely with stakeholders to achieve organisational goals and objectives.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing policy strategies to promote social justice and human rights.
  • Coordinating and managing projects to address key issues affecting disadvantaged communities.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team, including staff supervision and support.

For this challenging and rewarding opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Completion of a law degree.
  • At least three years' experience in a relevant role e.g. social policy, community driven advocacy, management, project management.
  • Strong commitment to social justice.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people and foster a positive, productive and engaged team.
  • Ability to identify and develop responses to policy and law reform issues.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Commitment and capacity to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
