Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Community Engagement Specialist to lead the establishment and ongoing management of our Consumer Reference Panel.

This role will ensure that consumers' voices and lived experiences shape the design, delivery, and improvement of our services. You will be responsible for coordinating consumer participation, from invitations and onboarding through to follow-up and feedback, ensuring every touchpoint feels supportive and valued.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Foster trusted relationships with consumers, community organisations, and peak bodies to deliver meaningful impact.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and administration for our Consumer Reference Panel, keeping records and consumer profiles accurate.
  • Oversee scheduling and payments, support internal teams to access consumer insights, and continuously improve panel efficiency and value.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Degree in community development, communications, public health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years' experience in consumer or community engagement (health, government, or not-for-profit ideal)
  • Strong commitment to inclusion, cultural safety, accessibility, and ethical engagement
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and ensure consumer voices inform decisions
