Job Description:
The Guidance Officer (Wellbeing) role is a special guidance position, focused on providing therapeutic support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns.
Delivering services to the school communities, this role will provide counselling and structured wellbeing supports to students. The Guidance Officer (Wellbeing) will support students with personal and social issues, such as addressing mental health concerns, managing peer and family relationships and improving engagement with schooling.
This role works closely with Principals, leadership teams, community agencies and the student support team, including other Guidance Officers within the school.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in delivering therapeutic wellbeing interventions to students;
- Knowledge of wellbeing-related practice;
- Training and professional development in student wellbeing.
