About the Role

The Australian Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to take up the role of Assistant Director within the Coordinated Client Support Branch.

The Coordinated Client Support Branch is responsible for managing a range of programs and services to assist vulnerable clients to navigate DVA services and connect to supports to meet their wellbeing needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of case managers to deliver the Client Support Program, a voluntary time-limited case management program that uses a clinical lens and trauma-informed approach to support clients to meet their wellbeing needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline communication between clients, their families, and DVA, and facilitate access to external support services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of case management services and the development of new programs and services to meet the needs of vulnerable clients.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality case management services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of case management services and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Australian citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance.
  • Relevant experience in case management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
