This is an exciting opportunity to join a government body as a Senior Litigation Lawyer, where your litigation expertise and ability to manage and lead a team will be valued, challenged and rewarded.

The Role

We are seeking a lawyer with civil litigation or estate litigation experience (or both) with 5+ years PAE to manage a small team (of around 3-4 lawyers) in Brisbane. In this role, you will be providing legal advice, conducting difficult and complex litigation (particularly complex and contentious probate, succession and elder/disability matters) as well as other financial and property-related matters. You will find yourself appearing before all Courts and Tribunals with jurisdiction in Queensland on a weekly basis as this is a very litigation heavy role.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor Lawyers and paralegals (and has proven managerial experience)
  • Deliver efficient and high-quality professional legal advice and services
  • Represent our client in a timely way in relation to their responsibilities
  • Has demonstrated experience in litigation, or is able to swiftly acquire the skills to advise on and represent our client, in any of the following areas:
