About the Role

We are seeking experienced lawyers to join our team as Senior Crown Prosecutors. As a member of this dynamic group, you will play a vital role in tackling complex criminal cases and mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead high-stakes prosecutions: Represent the Crown as leading counsel in complex superior court trials, ensuring that justice is served with precision and diligence.
  • Offer expert advice: Provide authoritative insights on criminal law and evidence, guiding critical decisions that shape legal outcomes.
  • Exercise prosecutorial discretion: Independently make high-stakes decisions to initiate, modify, or discontinue serious criminal charges—an opportunity to wield real influence.
  • Champion victims' rights: Proactively address the needs of victims of crime, ensuring they are supported and heard throughout the legal process.
  • Build strong relationships: Communicate persuasively and effectively with judges, legal counsel, police, court officials, and victims on highly contentious and complex matters.
  • Develop rising talent: Inspire and mentor Crown Prosecutors, legal officers, and support staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration.

  • Admission as a Legal Practitioner in Australia.
