City Planning Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled City Planning Lead to drive city-shaping initiatives and oversee the coordination and delivery of strategic planning documents. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to shape how our community experiences and interacts with their city.

The role will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of professionals, developing and implementing strategic plans, and ensuring all planning and delivery aligns seamlessly with our ambitious vision and corporate objectives.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive city planning strategies that promote sustainable growth and development.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to deliver integrated planning and reporting (IPR) suite of documents.
  • Oversee major design projects that transform the cityscape.
  • Coordinate the planning of public spaces and buildings.
  • Develop and manage capital works forward planning and budgeting.
  • Negotiate competing stakeholder expectations within complex political and social environments.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and outputs to ensure successful delivery.

You will have a tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Engineering, Asset Management, Public Policy, or a related field. Strong experience in developing and implementing strategic plans or policies that achieve long-term outcomes is essential.
