Procurement Specialist

The position of Procurement Specialist is a great opportunity for an individual to contribute to the success of our organization in a 3-month contract.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to provide purchasing support for our Australian business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement activities in the purchasing function, ensuring that goods are available in a timely manner and collaborating with stakeholders to address order timeframes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that goods are available in a timely manner, the Procurement Specialist will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate any potential delays.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to address order timeframes, ensuring that all orders are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • An additional responsibility will be to analyze data and reports to inform procurement decisions, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in a field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement.
  • Proven experience in a procurement or supply chain role, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions.
