Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team. As a trusted advisor, you will play a key role in shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual who can provide strategic legal advice on commercial, contractual, and corporations law matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on legal and regulatory matters to mitigate risk and protect our interests.
  • Negotiate and draft commercial contracts, including procurement, project, and banking facility agreements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on complex commercial and contractual matters.
  • Collaborate with senior management to advise on high-impact projects and operations.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters relating to our dual ASX/TSX listing.
  • Effectively manage and resolve legal disputes and claims within set timeframes.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
  • 5-12 years of post-admission experience with a background in mining, resources, construction, or engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in law with admission to the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory and a current legal practising certificate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and convey complex concepts.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to influence and educate across all levels of the business.
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment in resolving complex legal and business matters.
