Vascular Ward Nurse Role
Join a dynamic team in the 4B Vascular Ward where you will contribute to delivering safe, compassionate and culturally responsive care to patients undergoing specialized procedures.

This challenging role involves preparing patients for surgery, delivering post-operative monitoring and supporting rehabilitation. As an Enrolled Nurse in this high acuity setting, you will have opportunities to develop specialist vascular nursing skills.

You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including doctors, specialists, therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

In addition to your clinical skills, you will also be expected to communicate effectively with patients and their families, provide emotional support and advocate for their needs.

As a valued member of our team, you will be supported by a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator, Vascular Clinical Nurse Consultant and Nurse Unit Manager who will provide mentorship and career development pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for surgery and deliver post-operative monitoring
  • Develop specialist vascular nursing skills in a high acuity setting
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and advocating for their needs

Requirements:

  • Current Authority to Practice as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
