About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Mentor at Sirius College.

In this role, you will work closely with year-level teachers and coordinators to develop and implement meaningful programs and events that support the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing curriculum.

As a mentor, you will be responsible for leading discussions, activities, and events that promote student development and wellbeing, while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with students and support their development in line with our Pastoral Care and Wellbeing programs.
  • Organise and participate in various events, including camps and holiday programs.
  • Prepare relevant curriculum-based content and activities.
  • Collaborate with the Pastoral Care team and provide valuable feedback.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your mentoring skills and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Certifications in First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management, Infection Prevention, Child Protection, and Food Safety.
  • Strong understanding of child safety requirements and regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage time effectively.
