About the Role
  • Support donors throughout their donation process, fostering trust and understanding.
  • Develop excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and a genuine passion for providing outstanding donor experiences.
  • Pursue key performance indicators, driving collection targets forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assess potential donors to determine their eligibility and suitability for donation.
  • Cultivate a positive donor experience that inspires loyalty and repeat business.
  • Configure machines and equipment for optimal functionality.
  • Perform safe needle insertion and removal procedures to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
  • Monitor donors post-donation, assisting them with scheduling their next appointment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared collection goals.

Requirements
  • Comfortable handling needles and biological materials.
  • Will travel occasionally to regional areas of Victoria with our mobile unit team and participate in overnight stays.
  • Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs.
  • Contribute to and foster a strong team culture.
  • Frequently stand, walk, and bend to set up and dismantle machines and products.
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday/Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
