Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Geologist to join our team. In this role, you will conduct survey analysis on the behavior and mechanics of soil and rock under pressure from proposed structures.

You will investigate geological formations and ground behavior, conducting scientific investigations and testing to understand their impact on project design and construction.

  • Conduct studies of the earth's crust structure, nature, and formation to inform geotechnical and civil engineering design.
  • Perform fieldwork activities, including site investigations, soil logging, and sampling.
  • Study the effects of natural events such as erosion, sedimentation, earthquakes, and ground instability on project developments.
  • Manage, analyze, and report on geological and geotechnical data for projects.
  • Provide safety leadership in identifying and mitigating hazards.

Key responsibilities include preparing proposals and technical reports for clients.

Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in Geology or Engineering Geology, or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience performing a similar role.
  • Ability to travel and work on remote sites when required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work independently within a team environment.
  • Valid manual driver's license.
