Job Overview

A Junior Hydrogeologist role is available to provide high-quality environmental services. The successful candidate will work with a globally recognised consultancy to deliver tailored solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hydrogeology and be able to undertake routine monitoring programs, including groundwater, surface water, soils and air quality sampling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake integrated monitoring programs following industry best practice.
  • Perform site investigations, drilling programs, monitoring bore installations and hydraulic testing.
  • Prepare quality reports based on field and laboratory data collected for clients.
  • Liaise with personnel, suppliers and laboratory staff to support the delivery of field work.
Requirements:
  1. Either completed a course in hydrogeology or hold qualifications in Science or Engineering, specialising in Hydrogeology or a related field.
  2. Practical experience in hydrogeology, including groundwater monitoring, sampling data analysis, bore drilling and construction, data analysis and report writing.
  3. Theoretical and practical knowledge in groundwater data analysis and interpretation.
  4. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  5. A willingness to travel domestically and remotely to undertake projects.

This role suits someone who enjoys working outdoors and has excellent communication skills. Training will be provided in UAV surveys and a manual driver's licence is highly desirable.
