About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sport and Recreation Educator to join our team at Chisholm Institute of TAFE. As a key member of our Sports & Fitness Business Area, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education practices that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing engaging learning experiences that promote student success and achievement. This will involve creating and adapting teaching materials, assessing student progress, and providing guidance and support to ensure students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver curriculum content that aligns with industry standards and best practices in sport and recreation management.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure student learning outcomes and inform instruction.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and other relevant data.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and strategies.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in sport and recreation management, as well as excellent teaching and communication skills. You should be able to work effectively in a team environment, think creatively, and adapt to changing circumstances.

You will also require:

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent qualification.
  • Vocational qualifications at AQF level 5 or above in sport and recreation management, sport science, or exercise science.
  • Demonstrated industry currency through recent work experience in sport and recreation management.
