We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Aquatic Educator to join our team. As an aquatic educator, you will have the opportunity to teach swimming and water safety skills to students of all ages and abilities.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for students. You will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that meet the needs of students and communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Swimming and Water Safety Skills: You will be responsible for teaching swimming and water safety skills to students of all ages and abilities, from beginner level to advanced levels.
  • Developing Lesson Plans: You will develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students, taking into account their individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Communication: You will communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date on student progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Maintaining a Safe Environment: You will maintain a safe and healthy environment for students during lessons, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • AustSwim Certificate - Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety
  • Current First Aid (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • AUSTSWIM extension certificate (Desirable)
