A lucrative opportunity awaits an ambitious and entrepreneurial Senior Commercial Lawyer to lead our commercial law practice.

We are a highly impressive, multi-award-winning, forward-thinking, nimble, young, vibrant, and close-knit multi-disciplinary law firm undergoing continuous exciting growth.

Our existing diverse COMMERCIAL LAW practice comprises commercial transactions, commercial & construction litigation, property/conveyancing, and succession law. It's now time to onboard a practice leader to take full ownership and drive further growth of this practice, managing a team of lawyers/paralegals.

You will love the variety and challenge of running your own 'show', leading a winning team, and engaging in business development to further grow the commercial law practice across multiple areas:

  • Commercial transactions - buying/selling businesses, business structures, advising on directors/shareholders issues, corporate restructures, joint ventures, licensing/distribution, intellectual property, franchising, employment law, consumer/trade practices law, and trusts;
  • Property law - conveyancing and leases;
  • Commercial litigation - debt recovery, insolvency/bankruptcy, general commercial contractual disputes, and construction disputes.

As a key person in our reputable fast-growing firm, you will have input into strategic business decision-making relating to the commercial practice. You will also enjoy a ground-level opportunity to take full ownership of the commercial law practice, walk into an existing commercial law practice immediately, and grow the practice and clients over time.

We offer a competitive salary range of $160,000-$230,000 plus a lucrative performance bonus, guaranteed extra $$ for each year of service, and generous financial support (up to $10K/year) for further education/studies. You will also enjoy flexibility, with the option to work from home part-time.

We are interested in hearing from experienced professionals who:

  • Are a seasoned Partner/Principal looking to make a change or a sole practitioner transitioning back to a larger team; OR an ambitious entrepreneurial Senior Associate/Special Counsel looking to step up;
  • Have proven experience in commercial law transactions (essential) and preferably any one or more of: commercial litigation, construction law, property law, and succession law;
  • Have a transferable client base or a proven track record in business development/marketing and are willing/able to engage in such to grow the practice;
  • Have strong technical legal drafting and negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and ability to provide practical relevant advice;
  • Proven ability to lead and effectively manage client relationships;
  • Are entrepreneurial, ambitious, self-driven, and desire to be a KEY PERSON of a reputable fast-growing firm and share in the rewards.
