Logistics Coordinator Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth movement of projects from scope verification to delivery. Your responsibilities will include verifying project requirements, arranging load out and delivery sequences, creating necessary paperwork, contracting and supervising packing efforts, and managing carrier load tenders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify project scope and confirm project requirements
  • Arrange load out and delivery sequence of project modules
  • Create and upload necessary paperwork (BOL, PL, CI)
  • Contract and supervise packing efforts
  • Keep project team informed of logistics activities
  • Organize and upload all project documentation to shared drive
  • Manage carrier load tenders in TMS
  • Process E-Requester orders for project purchase orders
  • Maintain and receive purchase orders in MRP
  • Verify carrier invoices and address discrepancies

Education & Training:
  • 5+ years of international, domestic, and oversized cargo movement experience
  • Minimum requirements:
    • Knowledgeable of USDOT requirements
    • Previous experience working in an industrial manufacturing setting
    • Able to walk/stand in steel-toed boots for long distances/periods of time
    • Able to lift 50 lbs.
    • Fluent English language skills
    • Travel 25-50%

Preferred Requirements:

  • TMS and Infor LN experience a plus
  • Experience in dispatching drivers
