About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical leadership and consultation in the assessment, management, and education of patients with ostomies, continence issues, and trial of void strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Leadership and operational management of Stomal Therapy and Continence referrals">
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care">
  • Education and training of healthcare professionals and patients on best practices in ostomy care, continence management, and skin integrity">
  • Management of the nurse-led Stomal Therapy Outpatient Clinic and Trial of Void Clinic">
  • Participation in clinical audits, quality improvement, and research projects related to Trial of Void protocols and continence and ostomy care">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

">
  • ">
  • A Registered Nurse (Division 1) qualification with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency">
  • At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience and approved post-registration nursing qualifications relevant to Stomal Therapy/Continence Nursing or such other qualifications deemed appropriate by the employer">
  • Demonstrated leadership ability working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team with a comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and current nursing issues">
  • Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, and analysis in their daily practice in their current role">
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritize competing workloads within a complex environment">
