Saltus Group seeks an experienced ICT professional to join its ICT Infrastructure team.This role offers the opportunity to shape ICT strategy, mentor colleagues, and drive innovation in a highly visible government environment.
  • Design, evaluate, and implement infrastructure requirements to meet future demand.
  • Provide expert technical support for project build, test, and deployment activities.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design and implementation plans.
  • Advise senior executives on technical and strategic ICT matters.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and knowledge.
  • Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
  • Engage with other agencies and service providers to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage operations including backups, high availability, and disaster recovery.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in designing, managing, and maintaining internet gateways and/or large-scale data centre networking environments.Demonstrated technical proficiency with F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems is required.Experience with Cisco Data Centre technologies (ACI, Routers, Nexus switches) and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) is also essential.A strong understanding of Australian Government security frameworks, including the ASD ISM and Essential Eight, is necessary.The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Key Requirements:
