Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Professional to lead our school's skills training and transitions initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the overall mission of the school
  • Work collaboratively within the established framework of the Four Principles and Common Ground
  • Be an integral member of the Senior Learning Hub team, providing support and guidance as needed
  • Attend regular meetings for reflective practice and staff collaboration
  • Organize industry visits and educational excursions
  • Promote career expos and connection days, both on-site and off-site
  • Present information at community circle, learning hubs, and in the school newsletter
  • Support the end-of-year graduation process and provide opportunities for relevant celebrations
  • Engage with local industry, businesses, agencies, employers, RTOs, and workplaces to develop a network of transition support options
Requirements:
  • Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system in the Edmund Rice tradition
  • Proven leadership experience, characterized by strong organizational, administrative, communication, and leadership skills
  • Able to demonstrate high-level communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills necessary for success in a complex organizational structure
  • Tertiary qualifications in teaching or social work or youth work (or similar) and hold a current Queensland Working with Children and Young People 'blue card'
  • Demonstrated commitment to building just communities that enhance learning and wellbeing for young people
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in skills training and transitions, including vocational education and training
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
