Job Title: Career Transition Specialist Key Role Summary:The successful candidate will lead the operational approach to career transitions, working under the direction of the Head of Campus.This role acts as an integral member of the Senior Learning Hub team, contributing to the life of the school and aligning with the Four Principles and Common Ground Framework. Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive career transition program.
  2. Collaborate with staff to provide opportunities for learners to develop their skills and competencies.
  3. Organise industry visits and promote career expos and connection days.
  4. Present information at community circle, learning hubs, and the school newsletter.
  5. Support the end of year graduation process and provide opportunities for relevant celebrations.
  6. Cultivate relationships with local industry, businesses, agencies, employers, RTOs, and workplaces to develop a network of transition support options.
  7. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to achieve program goals.
  8. Cater to the diverse needs of learners and incorporate work placement programs.
 Requirements:
  • Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.
  • Proven senior leadership experience with strong organisational, administrative, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Able to demonstrate high-level communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in teaching or social work/youth work (or similar) and a current blue card.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the values of Edmund Rice Education Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in Skills Training and Transitions, including vocational education and training.
  • Commitment to building just communities that enhance learning and wellbeing.
  • Effective organisational skills to utilise resources, staff, and operations to meet the needs of the School Improvement Plan.
  • A demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal, professional development and formation.
