Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection of the educational program for the children.
  • Provide quality education and care to support children's learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework.
  • Develop programs reflecting the approved learning framework.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships supporting children, families, and community.
  • Facilitate play-based learning environments responsive to children's interests, strengths, and abilities.
  • Guide and support educators to implement the program and philosophy for the children.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Early Childhood Education degree.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an ECT (experience as educational lead advantageous).
  • A work history demonstrating recording observations, writing learning stories, and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues, families, and community members.
  • Adaptability, empathy, and resourcefulness.
  • Alignment with Uniting's values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
