We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing professional technical work involving considerable independence and a high degree of originality, ingenuity and judgement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a work winning champion of new or existing clients, developing bids and proposals and liaising with business leaders.
  • Serve as a technical specialist for the organisation in the application of advanced concepts, principles and methods in an assigned area.
  • Give technical advice to management and business units and directs or advises on use of equipment or material.
  • Supervise and review the work of engineers, designers/drafters, and technicians.
  • Contribute to thought leadership activities through your work and/or by authoring papers and presenting at events, seminars and conferences.
About The Role
  • You should have experience with machinery such as stackers, reclaimers, excavators, minerals processing plant, mobile mining machinery, underground mining, draglines, belt conveyors, rolling stock, ship loaders, port machinery, cranes etc.
  • A thorough knowledge of local and international governing design codes for the above equipment.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant area of study.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience post-graduation.
  • Relevant registration with recognised engineering/environmental body.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and business development.
  • An existing customer network or previous experience in developing key customer relationships.
