Commercial Finance Role

About Us

We are a family-owned business that has been serving Central Victoria since 1970, with five divisions offering a wide range of products and services for domestic, commercial, and industrial projects.

This role will be responsible for overseeing finance across the group, driving strategic financial leadership and oversight for the organisation.

About the Role
  • Strategic financial management and leadership
  • Overseeing accounting & financial operations, including reporting & compliance
  • Developing and reviewing financial policies and procedures
  • Identifying and assessing financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them
  • Collaborating with sales, marketing, operations, product development, and finance teams
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of 8 in accounting & finance, business process, and contract & trade sales

About You

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related field is essential for this role
  • CPA / CA qualifications are also required
  • At least 8-10 years' experience in finance and management is necessary
  • Experience of managing in a multi-brand environment and across multiple business units would be beneficial
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required
  • Strategic thinking and ability to identify market opportunities is key
  • Excellent financial and commercial acumen is essential
  • Ability to coach and mentor is necessary
  • Strong problem-solving skills are required
  • Willingness to work onsite and travel to company sites as needed is expected
  • Knowledge of NetSuite would be beneficial
