Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team based in central Queensland region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and servicing fire protection systems in the area, delivering excellence while exceeding customer expectations and working predominantly with commercial and industrial clients.

  • Identify, service, and repair fire protection safety systems and equipment.
  • Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on equipment in an accurate and legible manner using handheld technology.
  • Participate in stock takes and be responsible for inventory management.
  • Complete reports.
  • Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment.

About You

  • You have experience as a qualified Sprinkler Fitter with special hazards working in the Fire Protection Industry with QBCC license.
  • You possess up-to-date product and industry knowledge, and an understanding of where to locate relevant information.
  • You have a sound knowledge of applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment.
  • You have technical or engineering competency and can complete identified company, industry, and occupational training and accreditation.
  • You have a great attitude and willingness to deliver a high standard of work for our client base.
  • You are able to use field service information technology applications to complete service job cards.
  • You are able to work a 7/7 roster.
