Leadership Role for Speech Pathologists

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Speech Pathologist to take on a leadership role within our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing an allocated caseload, delivering therapeutic services to participants, and fostering the development of others in the team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a passion for leadership, excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to demonstrate leadership capability to meet key responsibilities. They will also have experience as a Speech Pathologist beyond graduation (3 years minimum) and current registration with SPA.

You will have the opportunity to share your expertise, mentor emerging professionals, and contribute to meaningful outcomes in your local community. Your exceptional clinical skills will make a difference in the lives of NDIS participants on your caseload, and you will foster the development of others in the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an allocated caseload and complete therapeutic services in a timely manner
  • Deliver Speech Pathology services to participants within schools, homes, and the local community
  • Use clinical observations, standardized assessments, and interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions that help participants get more out of life
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Support graduate and early career Speech Pathologists through clinical supervision, mentoring, and professional development

Qualifications
  • Current registration with SPA as a Speech Pathologist
  • Experience as a Speech Pathologist beyond graduation (3 years minimum)
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capability to meet key responsibilities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
