Becoming a Building Automation System Specialist can be an exciting and rewarding career path for those interested in technology, problem-solving, and working in a dynamic team environment.

This role involves installation, commissioning, fault analysis and rectification of technical issues, as well as servicing and maintaining installed equipment on existing sites. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with building performance and energy efficiency solutions, building mechanical services, IT, network communication, and PC hardware configuration. A background in BMS/DDC software engineering is also preferred, along with commercial HVAC operational experience.

Additionally, strong understanding of chiller/boiler and airside plant performance and design requirements, passion for driving front-line safety identification and resolution, and electrical license or restricted electrical license are essential qualities for success in this role.
