The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex backend systems using Golang and related frameworks
  • Own the delivery of complex features, break down requirements, and provide estimates
  • Experience with complex authorization systems, particularly at scale
  • Proven experience in managing and executing system migrations
  • Demonstrate company values like customer focus, honesty, teamwork, and boldness

Desirable Skills

  • Authorization Knowledge: Familiarity with Google's Zanzibar paper, and authorization at scale
  • SaaS/Cloud Services: Experience in building and running SaaS or cloud services at scale
  • Architectural Knowledge: Experience with service-oriented/microservice architectures
  • Database Experience: Working with key/value stores (e.g., DynamoDB) and relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL)
  • Leadership: Experience working in a technical leadership capacity
  • User-Centric Vision: A user-centric vision, even in a platform-facing role, is a plus
