Senior Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Specialist to join our team at Bunnings Group. As a key member of our safety and wellbeing team, you will play a critical role in providing leadership, advice, and technical support to integrate our safety and wellbeing risk framework.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and embed processes and standards to integrate the safety and wellbeing risk framework, identifying, prioritizing, and managing risks.
- Provide technical safety advice, including completion of risk assessments, and engagement of external technical consultants to enable business decisions on risk management.
- Support key business initiatives from a safety and wellbeing perspective, aligning to our Safety and Wellbeing strategy and risk profile.
- Identify opportunities through trends or where work is identified difficult and engage others to find solution-based outcomes.
- Significant demonstrated experience in safety and wellbeing in a complex environment.
- Tertiary qualification in health and safety or a related discipline, ideally coupled with relevant experience.
- Comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
- Sound working knowledge of risk management concepts and skill in risk practices.
- High level of skill in researching, analyzing, and interpreting risk concepts and requirements and translating these into simple and practical controls.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
