Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Family Violence Safety and Support Practitioner to deliver tailored support packages to victim-survivors of family violence.
This pivotal role combines two key initiatives: Flexible Support Packages (FSP) and Personal Safety Initiative (PSI). FSP aims to provide holistic responses, assisting victims to transition from crisis and establish long-term arrangements. PSI focuses on enabling victims to safely remain in or return to their homes, increasing feelings of safety, deterring breaches of Intervention Orders, and facilitating evidence collection.
The practitioner will also process donations received by the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing specialist family violence services for adults and children
- Assessing risk in relation to family violence
- Developing workable solutions to complex problems
- Engaging with clients, resolving conflicts, and advocating on their behalf
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Experience in providing specialist family violence services
- Technical knowledge of practice responses to family violence
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A Victorian Working with Children/Check and National Police Check are mandatory.
