Based in Wangaratta or Wodonga

This position delivers a combination of two key Family Safety Victoria (FSV) initiatives that provide additional supports outside of day-to-day Specialist Family Violence case management functions:

1. Flexible Support Packages (FSP) aims to deliver personalised and holistic responses to assist victim-survivors of family violence to transition from crisis and establish long term, sustainable arrangements to improve their safety, wellbeing and independence in recovery from family violence.
2. Personal Safety Initiative (PSI) purpose is to:

1. Utilise safety and security responses to enable victim survivors of family violence to remain safely in or return safely to their own homes or relocate to a new home.
2. Increase safety and feelings of safety for victim survivors.
3. Deter breaches of Family Violence Intervention Orders (FVIO's).
4. Facilitate the collection of admissible evidence where breaches occur to hold perpetrators accountable for their use of violence.

The third and final component of the role is the processing of the donations received by CAV.

Position requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related social science discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in providing specialist family violence services for victim survivors of family violence, including adults and children.
- Technical knowledge in practice responses to family violence including a demonstrated understanding of the assessment of risk in relation to family violence.
- Demonstrated ability to reflect on and analyse complex problems and provide workable solutions.
- High level of interpersonal communication, client engagement, effective conflict resolution and advocacy skills.
- Victorian Working with Children/'s Check and National Police Check.
