Job Summary: As a project cost engineer, you will be responsible for delivering accurate cost estimates and managing project finances with technical precision.
You will analyze complex data, develop cost control strategies, and implement solutions to optimize project outcomes. Your attention to detail will ensure that costs are accurately forecasted, controlled, and reported.
Your responsibilities include:
• Performing advanced cost estimating and analysis activities
• Coordinating the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports
• Developing and maintaining cost reporting processes
• Verifying consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency
• Preparing budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
• Investigating requirements for estimating and/or cost control data
• Collecting and classifying cost data
• Allocating costs and performing cost control regimes for specific construction disciplines or groups of disciplines
• Identifying cost trends for management attention

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in supporting project cost engineering, including cost control and analysis, cost reporting, incurred cost assessment and conducting meetings.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.
  • Low to intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes.
  • Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship required.
