Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Services Manager to join our team at Gladstone. As a key member of our maintenance leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our mechanical assets.
The successful candidate will have vast experience in maintenance management, with a strong background in mechanical engineering. They will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire their team members.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure full compliance with site safety initiatives, standards, and procedures
- Develop and implement effective maintenance methods and procedures that meet site environmental guidelines
- Lead a technically competent, motivated, and cohesive mechanical reliability and maintenance team
- Identify and manage plant risks, and develop systems and processes to mitigate them
- Optimise plant performance, identify areas for continuous improvement, and maximise the value of maintenance spend
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
- Vast experience in maintenance management within a heavy industrial, transport, manufacturing, or mining environment
- Strong influencing, relationship building, and negotiating skills
- Demonstrated results of effective project management delivery
- Advanced knowledge of condition-based maintenance techniques and maintenance strategies and methodologies
