Job Overview

The position of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist is available within our mental health services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Mental Health Assessments

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, providing evidence-based interventions, and coordinating care for children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges. You will work collaboratively with consumers, their families, and carers to promote recovery and resilience.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as nursing, occupational therapy, or psychology.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Experience in contemporary clinical child and adolescent mental health practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Australian Mental Health Context

This position requires an understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery. You must be able to work effectively within the Australian mental health system.
