Payroll Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll operations.

This position involves being at the centre of our payroll processes, delivering results that meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years' experience in payroll administration and operations, ideally in a multicountry or high-volume environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (Awards, superannuation, PAYG).

  • Exceptional attention to detail with confidence handling employee data and complex calculations.

  • A process-oriented mindset with a track record of driving improvements.

  • Resilience in fast-moving, ambiguous environments – able to create clarity and structure.

  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with New Zealand payroll legislation.

  • Familiarity with external vendor management in an outsourced or co-sourced payroll model.

  • Experience with HR or payroll-related platforms (e.g., Workday, TMF)

  • Involvement in automation, documentation, or payroll process optimisation.
