Academic Support Specialist

This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs.
About the Role- To provide individualised interventions for students under the guidance of the Head of Student Learning and Support.
- To guide teachers in planning and implementing learning activities.
- To support students in developing literacy and numeracy skills through targeted interventions.
- To ensure an inclusive learning environment by collaborating with teachers, students, and parents.
- To demonstrate a Christ-like example in the College, ensuring all activities are undertaken with a strong Christian commitment and focus.
- To exercise Christian servant leadership with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
- To act as the Secondary teacher liaison, assisting in finalizing aides' timetables and guiding student support.
- To implement case management, tracking progress with parents, Learning Support, and medical staff.
- To use data-driven strategies to provide targeted student interventions.
- To guide teachers in planning and implementing learning interventions and activities.
- To provide support in developing curriculum for the learning needs.
- To manage and organize individualised resources and materials.
- To work collaboratively with the Secondary teachers, learning support team, school leadership, and other corresponding teams.
- To maintain open and respectful communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress.
- A committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church.
- A genuine love of children and be committed to their growth in learning.
- Ability to contribute to the life of the College community.
