Academic Support Specialist – Primary Education

Job Overview

The Relief Teacher will provide academic support to students in a primary school setting, fostering a passion for education and making a positive impact on young lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the educational objectives of the school by providing tailored academic assistance to students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to cater to diverse student needs and course requirements.
  • Utilize various teaching methods to promote student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and staff to ensure seamless collaboration and student progress monitoring.
  • Adhere to the school's policies and procedures while promoting a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Selection Criteria
  1. Alignment with the school's mission, vision, and values.
  2. Possession of relevant academic teaching qualifications meeting Department of Education standards and experience in teaching the Western Australian Curriculum in a primary school context.
  3. Demonstrated commitment to personal growth, education, and welfare of young students.
  4. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills when engaging with students, parents, and staff.
  5. Proficiency in ICT and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  6. Understanding of Christian Education principles.
Requirements
  • Child protection screening clearance.
  • WWCC Card (or ability to obtain one) and recent National Police Clearance (within 3 months).
  • Completed Application Form, detailed CV, and reference letter from current Pastor.
