Lead Education Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Education Assistant to support student growth and academic development.

The Role

This Special Needs Education Assistant (EA) role involves working under the direction of teachers to deliver education programs and create a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting teachers in delivering planned education programs
  • Providing feedback on education and therapy programs
  • Participating in the evaluation process to achieve goals in special education
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • High interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff members
  • Experience working with students with disabilities and learning difficulties
  • Ability to support student growth academically and socially within the classroom setting
Benefits

The Lead Education Assistant will also lead and mentor other EAs, assist in Professional Development, and provide direct support to Administration with tasks such as timetabling, data spreadsheets, and recording student assessments.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights
  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit
