A Mechanical Engineering Team Leader Position


Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional mechanical engineering professional to lead our team in Brisbane, Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and leading a high-quality team of engineers. You must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively to meet client requirements.

This role requires a well-rounded consulting engineer with commercial acumen in consulting engineering. You will lead innovative energy projects, work closely with clients to support a lower carbon energy future, and deliver energy projects in the hydrogen, hydrocarbons, resources sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow the team's delivery of Future Energy services and continued support of traditional energy projects.
  • Lead a number of innovative energy projects and work in conjunction with clients to support a lower carbon energy future.
  • Deliver energy projects in the hydrogen, hydrocarbons, resources sectors and work closely with other groups within the company across power generation, mining, and Advisory.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of proven industry experience in engineering consulting, including client relationships, bidding, and delivering projects.
  • A firm understanding of the energy sector and evolving options around a low carbon energy future.
  • Experience in engineering design in areas of hydrogen, hydrocarbons, or process plants.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and regions, and proactively interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers, and designers to deliver successful outcomes for clients.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to manage competing requirements effectively.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • A Mechanical Engineering Degree and RPEQ.
