Facilities Officer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. As a Facilities Officer, you will be responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks, including maintaining and driving all college vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and have correct machinery checks.

The successful applicant will have excellent time management skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, and a valid MR Class drivers license (or willing to obtain). They will also have the ability to drive a 39 seater bus.

About You

We are looking for someone who has an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of Catholic education. You will be able to communicate effectively with staff and students, and possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

You will also have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently, and as part of a team, and be flexible with your work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and driving all college vehicles
  • Ensuring all college vehicles are roadworthy and have correct machinery checks
  • Performing gardening and mowing duties
  • Grounds beautification
  • Rubbish collection
  • Room and event set-up
What We Offer

As a Facilities Officer, you will receive a competitive salary range - Services Staff Level 3, superannuation contribution of 12.75%, access to long service leave after 7 years of continuous service, and more.

Mandatory Requirements
  • A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000
  • A valid C and MR Class drivers license
  • The ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
