Mathematics Curriculum Leader Opportunity

The Brisbane Catholic Education system is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Mathematics Curriculum Leader to teach Mathematics and Science at St Benedict's College.

This is a fixed-term position until the end of school year 2025. We are looking for someone who can create a nurturing and ordered learning environment that fosters a love of learning, promotes effective communication, and encourages innovation and creativity in teaching.

  • We seek a team member who can collaborate with peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and pedagogy, ensuring alignment with relevant policies and practices.
  • Our ideal candidate will assess student learning, provide feedback, and report on progress using contemporary teaching methods.
  • They should contribute to the professional life of the school by working collaboratively with the leadership team and colleagues.
  • Additionally, they must engage in ongoing professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Our ideal candidate will evaluate and refine instructional strategies to promote student achievement and meet individual needs.

About You:

  • Hold a Tier 3 Mathematics Curriculum Leader qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Have strong literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy skills as well as a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum.
  • Be committed to child safety and demonstrate exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate organizational abilities and be willing to engage with students, parents, and carers to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Meet the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice, and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
  • Have a commitment to Safeguarding.
